\"rent<\/a>Crete is the largest & the most populous island in Greece. The natural beauties and cultural heritages have enriched this island. Rough mountains, green valleys, calm rivers, lakes and above all the picturesque island on the blue water of the Mediterranean Sea make this island really popular destination for the tourists from the different corner of the world.<\/p>\n

\"holidays<\/a>The main cities of this island are Heraklion, Chania, Rethymno, Ierapetra, Agios Nikolas & Sitia. If we view the transportation scenario Crete, the main equipment of transportation is via air. Also the ferry services are available from Athens also. But within the island, the main transportation is via road. A large number of car hire companies have been brought up in Crete to serve the tourists.<\/p>\n

The tourist season in Crete ranges from May to October. During this period, the weather remains enjoyable and tourists from all over the world flock to this island. However, July-August is the actual high season for tourism in Crete. During these two months, there are always crowds of tourists in this island. All the rates from hotel to car hire get obviously inflated during these two peak months. Finding a proper car hire in Crete during the high seasons is always considered to be little bit tough. Since the pressure of tourists remains extremely high during the high seasons, the common reply that you can get from the car hire company is that none of the cars is available. It is suggested that, if you are planning to have a tour in Cr\"summer<\/a>ete during its peak season, you should contact with a good car hire agency a few days prior to the tour so that your hired car will reach outside the Heraklion airport as soon as you touch the Crete ground. Jeep or SUV, Sumo or Maruti, whatever be the car of your choice, but you should prepare to pay at an inflated rate if you choose a visit to Crete during its high season.<\/p>\n
